Duke and Duchess of Urbino, Valentine's Day gift
Illustrated jewelry is a modern alternative to expensive products made from precious metals. The Artist, Veronika created those pins inspired by the diptych of the Dukes of Urbino, one of the most famous works of art of the Italian Renaissance. Painted by Piero della Francesa, the diptych shows Frederigo da Montefeltro and his wife Battista Sforza. The representation in profile was an interesting choice of the artist. The Duke lost his right eye during a tournament - that is why only the left side of his face is portrayed.
This design paris perfectly with natural fabrics, cotton sweatshirts, denim jackets and is a great gift for someone who loves Italy.
